The Spell

I am under a spell taking place in my heart
and I will wonder without end
about those too distant to listen to a word
that is spoken to one another
If I only ever heard what I really wanted
I am looking to tell
hoping someone will understand, but it is too soon and still there are those too distant
and waiting for a spell
that will take them away forever
If I only ever did what I really wanted
I could tell you a story or two
Of course, it’s only my opinion
that after all is said and done and we are through the spell continues
